170624-N-XL056-660 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 24, 2017) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) transits the Pacific Ocean with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. The strike group is on an underway period in the 7th fleet area of operations. The Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
