One reason for this isthat Mr. Brennan, our superintendent of shoi)s,will not stand for any unsafe methods and whenthe committee makes its report to him, theitems are corrected at once. There are twelvemen on the committee, and in addition to mak-ing inspection of the shops and grounds everytwo weeks, they investigate each accidentwhich occurs to employes in the back shops andcar yard, and make a bulletin showing theirfindings, a copy of which is posted in theshops.
