It is rather frequently reared, as a gregarious parasite of Tolype and Epicnaptera, but very seldom collected. b. Chromocryptus planosae vandykei, new subspecies Figure 331,e Male: Unknown. Female type: Head and body black, white, and ferruginous as shown in figure 331,e; palpi white, darkened apically; scape brown with a white mark in front; pedicel and flagellum black, the flagellum with an incomplete white band that covers segments; legs fulvofer- ruginous, the apices of the tarsi brownish.
