Since 1861 he has ownedthe homestead, and has made various additionsto it besides selling many building lots. Thefarm is favorably located for building, beingin one of the finest sections of the old Derby has a reputation for raising finecattle and hogs, especially the medium andsmall Yorkshire hogs, sometimes having fourhundred or more on his farm at a time, andalso Holstein cattle, of which he has at times.
