Triple-negative breast cancer cell. Fluorescent light micrograph of a triple-negative breast cancer cell undergoing retraction and apoptosis (cell death) after treatment with a combination of the chemotherapy drug cisplatin and a mitochondrial division inhibitor drug called mdivi-1. The colours highlight actin (red), mitochondria (green) and cell nuclei (blue). This research is aimed at developing better cancer treatments.
