Jewish women pray at the western wall (, הכותל המערבי הכותל wailing wall. Kotel) in Jerusalem the most sacred place for jews. Women are sectioned into the right side of the wall separeted from man in an area called "The Women's Courtyard (Women's Section or in Hebrew: Ezrat Nashim) The wall also known as the wailing wall or the “Kotel” is the most sacred and holy place for jews. This is the last remaining wall from the old temple that was destroyed over 2000 years ago. In this image some women pray, others embrace the stones while others insert hand written or typed prayers and requests to god between the cracks of the stones as requests for good health, fortune, help for others and any prayer one may have.
