All of these are inhabitants of the hot lands of America, except the species we figure. Cisthene lactea Stretch is by Hampson referred to the genus lllice. Dr. Dyar places it in the genus Clemensia. The species is unknown to the writer, and does not exist in any collection which he has examined, so that we shall not attempt to discuss the vexed question of its proper location.
