He was inured to the duties of thefarm and upon this did he become a hand when he became accountable forhis future. Whatever he is and has has resulted from the effort of his ownhands. His political history is told when it is said that he votes the Re-publicau ticket. He came from a patriotic state and was conceived byloyal antecedents and that he is both patriotic and loyal is not a subject ofwonder. T A 7ILLIAM GWILLIM, of Elm township, who settled in Allen^ County, in the spring of 1871, was one of the first of the Englishcolon) to locate in his township and he came to it from Jo Daviess County.
