Proboscis fully developed; palpi obliquely porrect, the 2nd joint fringed with hair, the 3rd short, porrect; frons with small rounded prominence with corneous plate below it; eyes large, round, not ciliated; autennte of male ciliated; thorax clothed with hair and scales, the pro- and metatborax with slight spreading crests ; tibife fringed with hair on outer side ; fore tarsi with the 1st or first two joints with long curved claw-like spines on outer side; abdomen witli dorsal crest on 1st segment. Fox-e wing with the termen slightly crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6 from upper angle ; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell; 5 obsolescent from just below middle of discocollulars ; 6,7 from upper angle; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base. A.
