The Denison chapter, the Alpha Eta, was founded December 28,18(58, by Henry A. Wise 70, Charles J. Seamon 71, Henry A. Delano69, Frederick Clatworthy 69, and John J. Powell 70. Owing to anti-fraternity laws the chapter died in 187-, but was revived a few yearslater and continued sub rosa until 1882, when the law prohibitingfraternities at Denison was repealed.
