An Apulian-Corinthian helmet, 5th century Bronze. Clearly offset skull, closed cheek guards with bridges, small eye cutouts, protruding nasal and strongly moulded eyebrows and forehead section. Large depictions of boars on each side. The perimeter decorated with a triangle pattern. On the crown a riveted crest fork flanked by shorter tabs, holes in the helmet rim for the chinstrap attachment. Short notches in front of the broad flaring neck-guard. Heigth cm, with crest fork cm, weight 710 g. Red-brown to green patina, severe corrosion in places, ,
