Young glacial lake formed due to glacial recession at the terminus of Rhone glacier in the Swiss Alps. Some icebergs have recently calved off the glacier front. Brownish mineral deposits are visible on glacier-polished granite rocks in the foreground. For an image of the lake in 2007 see xxxx.
