Nursery stock New York (State) Catalogs; Flowers Seeds Catalogs; Vegetables Seeds Catalogs; Plants, Ornamental Catalogs; Gardening Equipment and supplies Catalogs. 52 CHOICE SELECTIONS IN SEEDS. F. R. PIERSON CO., TARRYTOWN-ON-HUDSON, N. Y. One quart will plant about 125 feet of drill; from 1 to 2 bushels per acre. For small gardens we advise the general planting of the Dwarf sorts, like Surprise, Nott's Excelsior, American Wonder and 11 Premium Gem,'1 requiring no brush and less care than the tall kinds; they are as productive, giving as much or more returns from same ground, as they can be planted closer. They are of the very best quality. Plant the Dwarf kinds in rows 15 inches apart, about two inches deep, early in the season, and later about four inches deep. This is true also of the tall kinds, which should be planted in two single rows, six inches apart—the double rows from three to five feet apart, according to variety, the taller kinds the last distance. The soil can hardly be too rich. Packages of all .varieties at 10 cents each, free by mail. EARLIEST. Gradus (Prosperity).—This variety is the earliest of all the large wrinkled peas, coming in only a few days later than the early round seeded sorts, which makes it particularly desirable, as early wrinkled peas are always in demand. The vines are strong and vigorous, growing 3 ft. in height, bearing an abundance of large pods similar in size to Telephone, and containing from eight to ten deheious peas. 35c. per quart; $ per peck. Surprise.—The earliest of all the wrinkled sorts. If grown side by side with the very earliest of the round seeded sorts, it will be found to be even earlier than many of them. The vines grow about 20 to 24 in. in height, requiring no brush. They are loaded with well filled pods, not so large as the American "Wonder, but far more numerous, while they are ready for market several days before that
