A pair of flintlock pistols, Piccino Frusca, Brescia, circa 1700. Barrels with flats on the sides merging to round in 15 mm calibre with a lady's on each chamber, one gazing to the right, the other to the left. The sighting flats are signed, "LAZARO LAZARINO". The flintlocks have slight chiselled ornamentation, and the lock plates are signed, "PICIN FRVSCA". Lightly carved walnut stocks with chiselled iron furniture and belt hooks. The openwork escutcheons and side plates have fabulous two-headed creatures. The trigger guards and butt caps bear grotesque masks.,
