Winter view looking over the beach below the nature reserve at Northam Burrows. There is a blue sky whilst the beach has broken out from under the shadow of an overhead cloud. This scene looks over the Taw Torridge estuary towards Saunton and Baggy Point. The tide is coming in with strong waves in summer sunshine. The near view contains rounded pebbles carried here along the coast by the sea. This is known as ‘Long Shore Drift’.
