Fire, originating from sources un- known, last week destroyed the large warehouse of the Mutual Nurseries, at Monroe, Mich., causing a loss estimated at $15,000 and ruining large quantities of seedlings. Charles A. Ilgenfritz, the proprietor, was in Philadelphia attending the nurserymen's convention at the time of the blaze. THE A. A. N. MEETING. Acting on a recommendation in the address of the president, the conven- tion voted to have a committee ap- pointed to work out a plan for an ar- boretum to be maintained by the as- sociation, to be located in some accessi- ble place where the association can hold most, if not all, of its meetings after the arboretum is under way.
