Carriage Painting may be taken if desired. Bricklaying and Plastering. In this as in the carpentry and painting courses, thegreatest stress will be laid on plain house work, includingfoundations, walls, arches and chimneys Lessons on limes and cements, and suchimportant matters will be given throughout the course. The last years class have been employed outside on anew building which the Institute has been erecting and havethus had an excellent opportunity to add to their technicaltraining the very best kind of practical experience. Wheelwrighting, This course is intended to fit one to be able to handlethe work that is found in the ordinary country wheel-wright shop, after taking which the student is expected tobe able to build a farm wagon or a plain carriage from be-ginning to end.
