Very double and a remarkably free bloomer; one of the best new Eoses. BRIDESMAID. Here we have a new Eose, a sport from that old stand- by, Catherine Mermet. This new variety retains all the good qualities of the parent, besides adding charms not possessed by the sweet Mermet. The bud is of exquisite shape and contour, so solid and firm, and the stems are so long and stiff that no other Eose will compare with it in keeping qualities after being cut. It is about two shades deeper in color—just enough to make it bright; and it is the same color all the time under every condition of weather and surroundings. "We have a good stock of this valuable Eose, and offer it with confidence. MADAME HOSTE. Nearly every lover of beautiful flowers counts among his favorite Eoses the Perle des Jardins, and certainly will be anxious to secure this distinct new Eose, when we state its large and beautiful petals are larger and longer than that well-known tea rose. Generally the petals are of a clear ivory white. They can always be cut on long stems, and with beautiful dark green foliage. EDMOND SABLAYROLLES. The flowers, produced in clusters, are of medium size, and are so very double that we counted the petals upon one bloom, and found it contained 119. The petals are irregular in shape, some being deeply serrated, while others are lightly fringed. The color is bright carmine in the center, while the outer rows of petals are light pink.
