Black sky night neon red blue colours smiling face electric sign marque 'Lucky the Clown', Circus Circus Casino, Las Vegas Strip

The Circus Circus giant circus tent-shaped main structure opened, at a cost of $15 million, in October 1968 and, in its early history, had connections with organised crime. A hotel was added in 1972. The casino has an 11,700 square metre gaming area. The Lucky the Clown marquee at the entrance was made by the Young Electric Sign Company in 1976. Circus Acts and Carnival Type Games are a feature of Circus Circus, as the marquee advertises.
