Austin III meets with UK Secretary of State for Defence, Sir Ben Wallace; French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly; Italian Minister of Defence, Lorenzo Guerini and German Federal Minister of Defence Christine Lambrecht during defense ministerial meetings at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, March 16, 2022. Austin is in Brussels to participate in discussions on deterrence capabilities on NATO’s eastern flank. Austin will also travel to Slovakia and Bulgaria for meetings with military and civilian leaders and visit troops deployed to the region.
