Aylesbury, UK. 5th April, 2021. HS2 have put polythene fences throughout a number fields inhabited by reptiles and small mammals so that they can trap them and apparently move them to new receptor sites. Furious local residents have photographed coupled toads in these cordoned off HS2 areas that have been unable to get to ponds to spawn. HS2 have also put buckets into the ground to trap mammals. Some of the buckets have no way of exit and mammals falling into them are known to have died. The controversial and over budget High Speed 2 rail link from London to Birmingham is vastly over budget.
