The Thames Traditional boat rally was founded in 1977 and held on a stretch of the river Thames at Henley. The rally is a showcase for traditional rivercraft both powered and unpowered, Wooden craft built by highly skilled craftsmen of yesteryear, the boats are presented restored by their owners and English boatbuilding craftsmen of today.
