The Culture March took place in Cardiff on 6th February in protest against Cardiff Council's £700,000 arts budget cuts.

Cardiff council had decided to cut its Arts & Culture budget for 2016-2017 by £700,000. Artists, writers, members of the creative professions and culture enthusiasts were coordinated by the G39 gallery and a march was planned. The march took place on the 6th February 2016 and it mimicked a New Orleans funeral profession. A fake coffin with the word Art in Welsh on top of it was carried across Cardiff from the National Museum steps to the Cardiff Central Library. Approximately 1000 people joined the march. As a result of the march and constant petition leading up to the decision about arts funding, the cuts were reversed by the Cardiff Council.
