The Behading stone in Stirling, Central Scotland. Found at the top of Gowan Hill and the stone was probably used in executions.

The beheading stone is said to have been used for capital punishments around the 15th Century and was possibly used to execute some important figures of the time. A walk way round the hill takes you over Gowan Hill, site of the Beheading Stone and access can also be made from Upper Castlehill or from Lower Bridge Street. Views from the top of the hill gives a wide view across the town of Stirling
