Peopleaboard a houseboat must at best be living inclose quarters. But, upon even the moderatepriced craft, much of the comfort, privacy,and refinement of home life may be enjoyedby heading off an outlay that tends towardgilt and grill work and turning it into sub-stantial partitions, real beds, baths, and lava-tories. Gadabout was square at both ends; so thatthe uninitiated were not always sure whichway she was going to go. Indeed, for awhile, her closest associates were conserva-tive in forecasting on that point.
