Washington was born on 22 February, 1732 in Westmoreland, Virginia Colony, USA in a wealthy family that owned tobacco plantations. He died on 14 December, 1799 in Mount Vernon, Virginia, USA. Illustration published in The Pictorial Life of General Washington by J. Frost, (Charles J. Gillis, Philadelphia) in 1847.
