The bone appearsof nearly normal structure, with perhaps a slight diminution in the amount oflime salts (Fig. 260). Fragilits Ossium or Periosteal Dysplasia,AND Osteogenesis Imperfecta. These two conditions are both characterized by insufficiency of corticalbone and numerous fractures. Fragilitas ossium occurs after birth and is to be distinguished from othercauses of brittle bones.
