View SSW of Leac-an-Fhamair standing stone (flagstone of the giant), Beacharra, Kintyre, Argyll, Scotland, UK. The monolith is 16ft () high, a prominent landscape feature seen against the skyline from a considerable distance. It lies some 160ft (48m) S of Beacharra chambered tomb & almost on the extended NNE-SSW alignment of the burial chamber. The stone has been connected with fertility rites, including egg rolling at Easter, into modern times.
