Copy of Il Porcellino, or the Little Pig, the Florentine nickname for this bronze figure of a boar in the Mercato Nuovo .The figure was sculpted by Pietro Tacca 1577 -1640. Rubbing its snout is said to assure a return to Florence. The Historic Centre of Florence is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
