It is a cross betweenthose two delicious melons, Sills Hybrid and Casaba, growingrather larger and maturing a little later than the former. The flesh is of a rich salmoncolor, very sweet andmelting in quality, andso very thick that themelon is almost solid,the seed cavity beingremarkably small. Therind is thin, slightlysutured. The vine isa strong grower, andfairly , per pound, post-paid, ; per Xpound, 40 cts.; perounce, 12 cts.; perpackage, 5 EMERALD GEM MUSKMELON.
