Holy Trinity Church Halstead Essex

Built in 184344 by Sir George Gilbert Scott to serve Halstead’s community west of the River Colne, Holy Trinity is one of the first examples of a Gothic Revival church in the Early English style. Its tall tower and broach spire form a prominent and handsome feature of this north Essex market town. Inside, graceful arcades divide the lofty clerestoried nave from the aisles. There is some fine 20th century woodcarving and colourful glass of the 19th and 20th centuries.
