A lion´s head sabre for a Uhlan officer Curved single-edged blade of wild Damascus fullered on both sides, with a Pandour point. Half of each side etched with trophy motifs and skull ("memento mori"), the back of the blade with maker´s etching "Samuel Moll Fabrikant zu Solingen". Gilt brass knuckle-bow hilt with lion´s head pommel, the obverse languet with masks in relief, the reverse languet with two crossed lances, brown leather-covered wooden hilt with brass wire wrap, portepee (damaged).
