The Îles des Saintes (literally, "Islands of the (female) Saints"), also called simply Les Saintes , is a small archipelago of French Antilles located in the South of Basse-Terre Island, on the West of Marie-Galante and in the North of Dominica in the arc of Lesser Antilles. It is a dependency of Guadeloupe, which in turn is an overseas department and Region of France. It is a popular holiday destination and Basse-Terre is the main town
