The brilliant but unsteady team will not come out ahead in such a were indeed fortunate to have such a solid rock basis to work upon as ourveteran battery, Nourse and Raymond. Certainly, as a battery, they were unequalledin college baseball of 1909. Such men as Hicks of Harvard and McClure of Amherst occasionally pitched more brilliantgames than Chet Nourse, but for all-roundstead
