None ofthem are living. > The LaRues are of French MRS. ABIGAIL, LaRUE SAMUEL LASHER Mr. Lasher, born in Falls township, Wyom-ing county, June 23, 1867. He is a sou ofArnold and Margaret (VanWye) Lasher, anda grandson of Peter Lasher. Mr. Lasher Avas born and reared on a received a common school education at thePost Hill and Falls schools. He lived with hisparents until nearly twenty-one yeare of age,then he hired out to Jolui Kresge of Newton foreight months. In 1889 he was employed atthe Ransom Plome as teamster, working underJacob Place, who was superintendent at that HISTORY OF NEWTOiN TOWNSHIP 137 time. Plere he worked four years. May 6,1893, Mr. Lasher was employed as keeper at theHillside Home, where he worked mitil March1, 1900. For the next six years he worked atfarming.
