ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 9, 2019) Mineman 3rd Class Jaxon Cook dons search and rescue gear aboard the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Thunderbolt (PC 12). Thunderbolt is forward deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
