1932 -The new Chiswick Park railway station shortly after being rebuilt. The station was opened on 1 July 1879 by the District Railway (DR, now the District line) and was originally named Acton Green . It was renamed Chiswick Park and Acton Green in March 1887 when electrification began. In 1910 the station was given its present name. Between 1931 and 1932, the old station was demolished and a new one built. The designer was Charles Holden who chose a then ultra-modern design using brick, concrete and glass.
