George Bear, fourth child of Johannes and AnnaMaria Baer, was born in Lancaster County, Pa., February 26th,1778, and died in Rebersburg, Center County, Pa., December31st, 1858, aged 81 years. First married Elizabeth Krape, ofYork County, Pa., December 2nd, 1800. She was born JuneI2th, 1778, and died December loth, 1832, aged 54 years, 5months and 28 days. The second wife was the widow of JohnGramley, whom he married June 21st, 1834. She died August29th, 1865, aged 78 years, 5 months and 6 days. Her maidenname was Royer. He had no children with his second wife. The above record was taken from the family Bible of GeorgeBear, originally written in his own hand, as per letter of W. , July 13th, 1908.
