The Assumption of the Virgin Mary by Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640), This is an early version of the work which hangs as an altar-piece in Antwerp Cathedral. From 1621-1776 this painting, intended for the cathedral, hung in the Lady Chapel of the Jesuit church in Antwerp.
