Circus Building, Chisinau

Chișinău (also historically known as Kishinev) is the capital city of the Republic of Moldova, which gained its independence from the USSR in 1991. With a population of 500,000, Chișinău is Moldova's main industrial and commercial center. It is a vibrant city, with ubiquitous construction sites and a blend of the former Soviet days and of Western modernity. The disused circus building is a typical example of Soviet architecture of the 1970s.
