My love for these magnificent creatures continues unabated. Given their history and the actions of people like my father* to save them from extinction on this island, they will always have a huge place in my heart. *He was in the Territorial Army, who were brought in to defend (with arms) the last few nests in the Pumlumon massif in mid Wales in the 1980s.
