Evangelism—It was ordered that a committee of one from each pre-siding elders district and one at large be appointed by the presiding elders(with instructions to report to the secretary) as a Committee on Aggres-sive Evangelism. Final Adjournment—It was moved that after the approval of the min-utes and the reading of the appointments by the Bishop the Conferencestand adjourned without MINUTES OF THE HOUSTON CONFERENCE 47 PART III. REPORTS REPORT OF COMMITTEE OX EDUCATION. Through all the years, this Conference has recognized its duty to encourage inall legitimate ways intellectual aspirations and to open opportunities for the realiza-tion of the highest ambitions. There have been some dark days. Honest men havehonestly differede as to methods. The dissension thus caused has made impossible theunited, progressive work necessary to the accomplishment of the best possible results. We hope the day of dissesion is forever past. The educational problem is funda-mental, and a universal responsibility. Every pastor in this Conference is under obli-gation to carry on bis heart every school within our bounds, and do his best to increaseits sphere of usefulness. Our only strife henceforth shall be a strife to provoke oneanother to goodworks. At the beginning of this report let us
