SHIMODA, Japan (May 20, 2018) – Sailors from the guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) participate in a tug of war competition during the 79th Shimoda Black Ship Festival. The Navy’s participation in the festival celebrates the heritage of naval partnership first established by commodore Matthew Perry’s 1853 port visit.
