A shamshir, Georgian, 18th/19th century Curved blade with triple fullers on both sides with etched Damascus structure in the grooves and a double-edged point. The reverse side has a silver-inlaid inscription. Iron quillons with ornamental brass inlay and a silver grip with niello. The wooden scabbard has iron mountings inlaid en suite with brass and a replacement leather cover.
