A masked nationalist guards during the 's National Independence Day marks the anniversary of the country's independence in 1918. It is celebrated as a nationwide holiday on November 11 each year. This year thousands of Poles took part in the Independence Day March organised by far-right organizations to celebrate the 101st anniversary of Poland's rebirth as an independent state. The slogan of the march was: "Look after all of us!" ("Miej nas wszystkich w opiece!") And numerous marchers were holding rosaries and crucifixes during the event.
