Having said this, he fell upon his neckand Ibrahim offered to divide his empire with his brother, butfinding the lovers preferred their retirement, he made them apresent of all the open country as far as they could see from thetop of Mount Khacan, which Abdallah continued to improve andbeautify until it became the most delicious spot of ground withinthe empire, and it is, therefore, called the garden of Persia. Ibrahim, after a long and happy reign, died without children,and was succeeded by Abdallah, the son of Abdallah and was that King Abdallah who afterwards fixed the imperialresidence upon Mount Khacan, which continues at this time tobe the favourite palace of the Persian Empire.
