In 2006 some 317 puppets of the collection of Rosete Aranda that date from 1835 until 1950 were found in cardboard boxes gathering dust in a warehouse of the National Institute of Fine Arts They were rescued and are currently undergoing cataloguing and restoration at the National School of Conservation Restoration and Museum Management under the supervision of Professor Sergio Montero
