An engraved Frankfurt beaker, Master Johann Peter Beyer, circa 1740 Silver, partially gilt. Foil-curved foot with engraved decorative tendrils. Slender, to the top conically widening body. On all sides richly engraved with three cartouches with scenes from the New Testament, above each one a portrait cartouche. Lavish framing of decorative scrolls and tendrils. At the lower rim high-grade, engraved English owner's name from the 19th century, consisting of a coat of arms, mirrored monogram and small grotesque scene.
