He was a mangreatly esteemed for his sterling qualities, having a mindwhich strove conscientiously to give just treatment tothose duties which came to him for a final settlement. In 1849 ^^ married Jane W. Judd of Westhampton,Mass., daughter of John A. Judd. Justice Hooker diedJuly 14, 1870, aged 74 years. Rev. Dr. Bezaleel Howard, son of Nathan Howardof Bridgewater, Mass., was born November 22, 1753. Hewas a graduate of Harvard College in 1781, and a tutorthere in 1783-85.
