The common eider [Somateria mollissima] is a large sea-duck that is distributed over the northern coasts of Europe, A male is seen here in full flight, wings extended upwards, traversing the ice cold, blue waters of the Kolgrafafjorour, near the small fishing village of Grundarfjordur, Iceland.
